SporeShield started the way most good ideas do — out of frustration.

I'd been growing culinary mushrooms for years. Oysters, shiitake, lion's mane. Getting better with every grow, dialling in my environment, learning what worked. And then gnats would show up and undo everything.

The problem wasn't finding a gnat trap. The problem was finding one that actually worked in a grow room. Every trap on the market was designed for kitchens and houseplants. They were the wrong size, the wrong shape, the wrong everything for the way a mushroom grower actually works.

So I made my own.

SporeShield is a sticky gnat trap designed specifically for hobbyist mushroom growers. Mushroom shaped and yellow — because it belongs in a grow room, not hidden behind a pot plant. Effective against fungus gnats at every stage of their lifecycle without chemicals, pesticides or anything that could interfere with your grow.

It's a small thing. But it protects the thing you've put weeks of work into.
